- Abstract
The article presents a study of the cost structures related with the provision of urban bus services in Great Britain. It forwards that the issue about the financing and efficiency of urban bus operations has been growing in this country for the past years. Relative to this, reports conducted by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission, the House of Commons Select Committee on Transport, and the Department of Transport have raised bigger issues concerning various facets of efficiency. This research concentrates on cost variations which exist between urban bus undertakings.
