- Abstract
The article discusses two cases in which the patients have absorbed isotonic saline during transcervical endometrial resection (TCER) which are performed under general anesthesia. It is noted that one of the complications of endoscopic surgeries is the absorption of irrigating fluid. Some charts are presented summarizing blood analyses from the two cases. Metabolic acidosis and hemodilution have been observed from the two patients, which are biochemical evidence of saline absorption.
