- Abstract
This article discusses a dermatological condition called mudi-chood disease, also known as hair-heat disease, which primarily affects women in southern India. The condition is characterized by hyperpigmented papules and plaques on the nape, upper back, ear pinna, and forearm. The article describes the dermoscopic findings of two cases of mudi-chood disease, including a "cut kiwi fruit" appearance and a pattern resembling "black crust fungus." The patients were treated with topical tretinoin cream, resulting in complete resolution of the lesions. The article emphasizes the need for further research to evaluate these distinctive dermoscopic patterns.
