- Abstract
The article discusses the working paper "Labor market tightness during WWI and the postwar recession of 1920-1921," by Haelim Anderson and Jin-Wook Chang, published in the July 27, 2022 issue of the "Federal Reserve Board, Working Paper 2022-049." It examines the labor market during and after World War I to determine the reaction of labor supply and demand to the tightening of monetary policy in the midst of high inflation and its similarities to the recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
