The article features Ronald J. Essig, a candidate for Second Vice President of the American Fisheries Society (AFS). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Rutgers University in 1976 and his masters degree in Fisheries Biology from the University of Massachusetts. A background on his career is provided. An overview of his involvement with the AFS is also presented.
