- Abstract
The article offers information on the National League for Nursing's Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) examination in the U.S. It is the only professional certification that recognizes excellence in the vital role of academic nurse educator. The examination is offered to qualified examinees from September 2005 to 2006 in 45 states and the District of Columbia. Criteria for CNE credential includes full-time faculty experience and a master's or doctoral degree in nursing. Candidates for the examination must also have two years or more full-time employment in academic faculty role within the past five years.
