- Title
Windows 7 worse on netbook battery life than XP?
- Authors
Lai, Eric
- Abstract
The article reports on the performance of the new Microsoft software Windows 7 compared to Windows XP on netbooks or laptops. Several reviews and user reports stated that Windows 7 consumes nearly one thirds more of the battery life of some netbooks. In its latest test, "Laptop" magazine showed that a Toshiba netbook lost 2.5 hours or around 30% of battery life when using Windows 7 compared to XP. Independent research analyst Jack Gold, however, said that it is too early to judge Windows 7's performance.
