- Abstract
The article presents legal actions related to the regulation of product characteristics, specifically credit terms and conditions of sale. The article discusses the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) v. National Business Consultants Inc. case in the District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. The court has supported the FTC and granted an injunction barring National Business Consultants for material omissions or false or misleading claims under the FTC's Franchise Rule. The article discusses the details of the case and discusses the implications to franchisors, specifically in regard to FTC regulation of franchises.
