- Abstract
The techniques described in this article show how time series analysis can be used in sales forecasting. For several years experiments have been conducted in using time series analysis in forecasting sales at the Scovill Manufacturing Company, and considerable empirical data have been assembled. The techniques for anticipating sales, developed through these experiments, are described here.
