- Authors
Wood, James Playsted
- Abstract
The article offers an educational and professional background of advertising executive Stanley Burnet Resor. Resor graduated Yale in 1901, and found it difficult finding a job. He was finally hired by Proctor & Collier, and it was his position there that aroused the attention of Charles E. Raymond of J. Walter Thomson Co. He was finally hired on at Thompson, where he was a pioneer in unconventional forms of marketing research. Resor researched many facts before offering a marketing strategy to a client, a practice that was at the time, very unconventional. However, through this style he helped the J. Walter Thompson Co. obtain its highest profits.
