- Abstract
Plantlet regeneration from rice embryogenic calli in R medium with BAP(2mg/l) + NAA (0.5mg/l), cv. Therefore, development of black rice cultivars with high productivity, early maturity, high anthocyanin content coupled with good taste are the major focus in rice breeding. But, success of the in vitro culture of seeds is limited by plant genotype and hormonal composition of medium (Tripathy, 2021) to sustain growth of calli, subsequent plant regeneration and survival as fertile plants. R basal medium (without glycine)+2.0mg/l BAP+1.0mg/l NAA elicited better organogenic plant regeneration (61.5%) (Table 3) within 2 weeks of culture but, it results in higher number of albino plantlets.
