- Abstract
The article discusses the On the Trails of the Glaciers project that study the impact of climate change on mountain glaciers of Earth. It notes that the project combine science and photography to capture images of remote mountain and have basis in comparing the effect of climate change on glaciers over time. The project started its expedition in 2009 in accord to the 100th anniversary of the 1909 South Asian Karakorum Range expedition of the Duke of Abruzzi. The 2009 expedition reveals that the glaciers of the Karakorum range were shrinking due to warming climate. The leader hopes that the project will be of great aid to have better knowledge in understanding the planet's transformation due to climate change. Photographs are also presented depicting the old and recent mountain glaciers.
