- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue of medication administration interventions that must be performed by a registered nurse (RN). The survey was completed by 740 respondents. Although there was diversity of opinion on every type of medication administration intervention, there was widespread agreement that a number of medication administration interventions must be performed by a RN. For blood products administration, chemotherapy management, conscious sedation and medication administration, three quarters or more of the respondents preferred RNs.
