- Abstract
The article discusses expanded theories of legal liability and defenses for claims involving medical device sales representative misconduct in America as of 2013. U.S. governmental enforcement actions against medical device sales managers and directors are addressed, along with corporate officer liability and civil products liability actions. Evidentiary issues and duties to warn and supervise are examined, along with liability-related cases such as Riegel v. Medtronic Inc.
