- Abstract
The article presents a case study of several woman presented with recurrent episodes of oral and vulval oedema and ulceration. It mentions that vulval biopsy showed plentiful apoptotic keratinocytes high in the epithelium, basal layer lymphocyte exocytosis, marked dermal oedema, neutrophils, eosinophils and leukocytoclasis. The article discusses women were treated with longterm prophylactic systemic antiviral treatment, acyclovir without suppression of attacks but responded to oral cimetidine.
