- Abstract
The article focuses on myths regarding the various religions in Albania. It analyzes the past myth-making and present-time myth-amplifying processes, which focus on the perceptions of the country's religious tolerance and examines the different contradictions in the history of religion. It emphasizes the insistence of scholars and politicians regarding the myth of the country's exemplary religious co-existence, despite the presence of tensions and fictions in the religious communities. Other topics include the process of repetition, the political importance of the Catholic Church, and the erection of Christian crosses on public property.
