- Title
Chalice of the Finström Church in Åland - An Addition to Estonian Medieval Goldsmith's Works.
- Authors
Mänd, Anu
- Abstract
The article offers information on a late fifteenth century chalice from Finström, a church in Åland, Finland, which resembles the late medieval chalices of Estonia. The author notes that the chalice contains an inscription that says "This chalice belongs to the church of Goldenberg," which the author believes refers to the town of Goldenberg in northern Estonia. The chalice is decorated with perforated quatrefoils inside the lozenges, an element found in other Estonian chalices.
