- Abstract
This article records my experience working at Alexandria Park Community School as a Teacher Librarian. It describes how APCS has evolved from several schools to become a K-12 inner city school & has undergone a school rebuild process. I have overseen the changing of Library Management Systems (LMS) over the years and have promoted literature & information literacy laboriously by applying the principles of information skills which have evolved from the 6 skills of the ISP to the Information Fluency Framework (IFF). In the article, I explore ways of evaluating the library collection & the procedures of establishing an archives policy, hence, to develop a memorabilia program as part of the library program. There is also a discussion on the application of the IFF in implementing the memorabilia program.
