- Title
The Social Sciences and Management Practices.
- Authors
Haire, Mason
- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between social sciences and management practices. Analysts say a significant reason for the exclusion of social sciences from management is the lack of developmental research in the field. Developmental research in this context refers to work midway between laboratory tests and theoretical propositions and applied research. It is essentially a development of theoretical concepts. Experts believe management practitioners could benefit from social science methodologies in the problem of organizing and managing human effort.
