- Abstract
The article offers information on the history, purpose and significance of the new whistleblower program for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission established under the provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. It informs that the program detects, investigates and prosecutes the financial misconduct and fraud affecting investors. It analyzes the efforts of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to avoid the threats of the de facto gag clauses.
