- Abstract
There are various turning points that affect the destiny of human beings. The invention of the gunpowder is undoubtedly one of these. The desire to acquire power has made firearms an important object in the history scene. Such that, the wars depended on human power a long time have left its place to gunpowder made the mixture of saltpetre and sulphur. The proposed paper aims to explain how the firearm technology which became the constant pieces of battlefields from the 16th century onward affected the Indian geography in historical frame. In this context, it will be examined how firearms were incorporated into the army and used through the battles of Panipat (1526), Khanwa (1527) and Ghaghra (1529) which Babur Shah did in northern India during the establishment period of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century.
