- Title
Un andaluz para un milagro. La construcción del liderazgo de Manuel Fal Conde en la prensa carlista durante la Segunda República.
- Authors
Agudín Menéndez, José Luis
- Abstract
This article focuses on how the Carlist press catapulted Manuel Fal Conde to the leadership of the Traditionalist Carlist Communion. His intense propagandistic and associative work from Andalusia gained a following in the pages of newspapers that made up a network of diverse organs centred around El Siglo Futuro. The article analyses key occurrences such as the arrests to which the Andalusian leader was subjected in the framework of the Sanjurjada or the celebration of events such as that of Fuente Quintillo. These set the stage for the future mobilizing potential of Carlism shortly before the Civil War.
