- Abstract
A reprint of the article "Every Day Is Fish Day," which appeared in a September 1917 issue of the journal, is presented, and it mentions the physiological and nutritional aspects of fish as a food source for human beings. Several varieties of fish are addressed, including cod, mackerel, halibut, shad, and haddock. The protein content of fish is examined, along with food shortages during Word War I. The possibility that fish may be associated with the transmission of cancer is assessed.
