- Abstract
The article discusses the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) founded by Peter F. Drucker, who is regarded as the father of modern management and the man who invented management. Asserted by Drucker is that business organizations exist not solely in generating a return on investment to shareholders but to provide employment to workers as well as to provide products and services desire by consumers. Drucker also agrees to the concept and principle of Milton Friedman, referring to the purpose among businesses which is to generate profit but disagrees on the idea that generating profit is the only responsibility of business.
