- Abstract
The article focuses on the study regarding a semi-synthetic and biohybrid catalyst that oxidizes DNA in a processive manner. It states that the catalyst was obtained through conjugation of a clamp protein gp45 to catalytic units based on a synthetic manganese tetramethyl pyridinium porphyrin system. In addition, the researchers used atomic force microscopy (AFM) to monitor the number of DNA cleavage occurrences and their location along the DNA polymer.
