- Abstract
The article focuses on the contributions made by the Malcolm Price Laboratory School (MPLC) Teacher Institutes to the teacher education program at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). It shares the faculty experience and knowledge with college students who are preparing to become teachers. The faculty members have created a new initiatives showing the urgent necessity of maintaining the laboratory school. They had provided over 60 different professional workshop sessions which included pedagogical topics focusing on lesson planning, web quests, small group teaching and class management. Further, the sessions also include cutting edge research on early childhood education, elementary math skills, coaching philosophies and religion in the public schools.
