- Abstract
An essay is presented on the enactment of Alabama's House Bill 56 (H.B. 56) which examines the constitutionality of the provisions in view of current federal law. It informs about the provisions of the H.B. 56 that directly and adversely impacts the ability of undocumented children to attend school. It also discusses the U.S. Supreme Court case Plyler v. Doe which illustrates the legal norm that does not restrict immigration based public education.
