- Abstract
The article focuses on prevalence of intellectual disability (ID) in Iran. It mentions that the prevalence of ID is more in men than women and mostly in young people rather than adults. It states on the methodological and conceptual gap in the census method. It highlights that in Iran, it is important to use conceptual framework of the International Classification of Functioning disability and health (ICF) for censuses and national health survey.
