- Abstract
This article presents a record of Arctocephalus galapagoensis, or Galapagos Fur Seal, on the Pacific coast of North and South America. It discusses a decline in the population of Galapagos fur seal, the role of the anomalous temperatures recorded in the Pacific Ocean at the end of 2015 in the displacement of a Galapagos fur seal to Mexican waters, and the ecological implications of this record.
