- Abstract
This article discusses a case of immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD), a systemic inflammatory disease characterized by elevated serum IgG4 levels and swelling of affected organs. The case involves a 38-year-old man with perennial allergic rhinitis to house dust who experienced swelling of the lacrimal and submandibular glands. The patient's symptoms improved spontaneously after moving to a new house, suggesting that avoidance of allergen exposure may resolve the pathological reaction of the disease. The article highlights the potential association between allergy and the development of IgG4-RD, and suggests that further research is needed to validate these findings.
