- Abstract
The article presents a study on the synthesis and anionic dye removal application of microporous cationic hydrogel of hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC). The materials used in the study was bought in various chemical companies including the HPC from Wako Chemical Industries Ltd., dye orange from J&Kchemica, and the ultra-pure water from Millipore System. Several chemical processes were carried out in the materials gathered which include the HPC hydrogel synthesis, polymer characterization, and adsorption of crosslinked HPC resin powder. Results show that the crosslinked HPC resin can be applied as adsorbent, and the adsorption capabilities have substantial pH value relationships.
