Title
LESS WALKING, MORE TALKING.
Abstract
This article reports on the use of pedometers by nurses in Scotland. The National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland is providing nurses with pedometers to measure the distances they walk during their shifts to improve efficiency and time management. It is noted that nurses can spend up to 19 percent of their shifts looking for items and that reorganization can create more time for them to spend with patients.
