- Abstract
This article discusses a case study of a 63-year-old female patient with Staphylococcus aureus sepsis and a large right atrial wall vegetation. Due to the patient's extensive comorbidities and high surgical risk, the heart team decided to attempt percutaneous vegetation aspiration as a treatment. The procedure was successful in completely removing the vegetation, and the patient was discharged in good condition after three months of treatment. This case highlights the potential clinical utility of percutaneous vegetation aspiration as an alternative to surgery for frail patients with infective endocarditis.
