- Title
PROPOSED ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR TO THE SUDAN AND EGYPT.
- Abstract
The article presents information on a proposal to organize an archaeological tour of Egypt and the Sudan for the members of the Colorado Archaeological Society. The dates proposed were December 21, 1963 to January 5, 1964, and the trip was to involve a boat ride on the Nile, and a visit to Wadi Halfa, Sudan, where an excavation by a team from the University of Colorado was in progress. Also discussed are possible visits to famous archaeological wonders such as the Valley of the Kings, and the Nubian monuments which were scheduled to be moved to avoid flooding by the Aswan High Dam.
