The article discusses a study performed by Julia Strupp and colleagues in identifying patient's with multiple sclerosis (MS) feeling severely affected. The study utilized a questionnaire, the Expanded Disability Status Score (EDSS), which documented the feelings of the affected individuals and their perceived unmet needs. The frequent mentioned reasons were found to be fatigue and lack of mobility. Thus, EDSS was found out to be an unreliable tool for measuring the severity of the disease.
