- Abstract
The article discusses a study exploring the experiences of motor neurone disease (MND) family carers. The results revealed that MND diagnosis has a deep impact on the family carer of the person with the disease. The role of carers was complicated by various losses triggered by their partner's diagnosis. The study provides a basis for research into the role of palliative care services in supporting MND carers before and after the death of their spouses. Also discussed are the limitations of the study.
