- Abstract
Compliance-independent posterior mesialization using mini implants is a very good alternative for the treatment of unilateral or bilateral spaces in the maxilla if the indication is correct. While the use of aligners alone very often leads to tipping and anchorage losses when the desired space is closed, the combination with a Mesialslider allows excellent bodily movement of the molars. Anchorage losses, such as a deviation of the midline in case of asymmetrical space closure or retrusion of the anterior teeth can also be avoided in this way. Nowadays, a full digital workflow from the intraoral scan to the completion of the appliance can also be successfully utilized.
