- Abstract
The article discusses the historical significance of Zillah's Tea Pot Service Station in Zillah, Washington. Built in 1922 to resemble a teapot, the gas station was a nod to the Teapot Dome Scandal that occurred during President Warren G. Harding's administration. The scandal involved corruption and bribery in the federal government, and the gas station was designed and constructed during the investigation. The station has changed ownership multiple times, was relocated in 1978 to preserve its historical significance, and operated as a gas station until 2007. It was then purchased by the City of Zillah and relocated to a dedicated park, where it now serves as the town's visitor center. The Tea Pot Dome Service Station is a popular attraction for travelers in the area.
