- Abstract
Adenopathy and extensive skin patch overlying a plasmacytoma (AESOP) syndrome is a rare plasma cell neoplasm with a paraneoplastic syndrome. This case report describes the 28th case of AESOP syndrome, which was associated with multiple myeloma. The patient presented with a dark red plaque on the right hypochondriac region and underwent various tests, including a PET-CT scan and biopsies, to confirm the diagnosis. The study also provides a summary of previously reported cases of AESOP syndrome, highlighting the clinical features and outcomes. AESOP syndrome is often associated with other plasma cell disorders, and the prognosis is generally favorable with appropriate treatment.
