- Title
The Amendments to the Vessel Hull Design Protection Act of 1998: A New Tool for the Boating Industry.
- Authors
Olson, Bradley J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S. Vessel Hull Design Protection Act of 1998. According to the author, the Act has been underutilized by the boating industry due to the inherent difficulty in making out a case for infringement based on the manner in which hull was originally defined. He said that the Congress should re-introduce the amended bill language law to enable the domestic boat manufacturing industry to finally have a more effective form of intellectual property protection.
