The article presents criticism on the documentary film "La hora de los hornos" directed by Fernando E. Solanas. It notes the film's depiction of the relationship between the U.S. and Latin America. The film explores the principles of historical progression and the creation of a society which is dependent of the U.S. It is noted that the film presents an explanation of metonymy in the concept of film rhetoric.
