- Abstract
This study investigates the possibilities and challenges of using digital technologies in early childhood education. Digital technologies, which include educational apps and interactive platforms, have the potential to enrich pedagogical practices, personalize teaching, and engage students in innovative ways. The use of these technologies is justified by the need to keep up with the technological transformations of modern society and prepare future generations for new challenges. The main possibilities identified include access to a wide variety of educational resources, the promotion of engagement and playful interaction, the personalization of teaching, and the development of technological skills from an early age. Digital technologies allow children to explore content in an interactive and personalized way, adapting to their individual needs and facilitating learning. However, the implementation of digital technologies in early childhood education faces several challenges. Among the main obstacles are inadequate teacher training, weak technological infrastructure in schools, and concerns about the impacts of technologies on child development. Resistance to change on the part of some educators and institutions, as well as inequality in access to technologies, are also significant barriers. This study highlights the importance of ongoing teacher training, investment in technology infrastructure, and balanced use of technologies to maximize benefits and minimize negative impacts. To fully leverage the benefits of digital technologies, it is essential to address these challenges strategically and collaboratively. The findings of this research provide a foundation for future research on the long-term impact of digital technologies on early childhood education and suggest directions for effective and inclusive educational practices.
