- Abstract
Background: Hypertension is also known as high blood pressure. It is defined as transitory (short-lived) or chronic elevation of the blood pressure in the arteries. Methods: Participants were patients referred by General Physicians with Hypertension. Demographic data and Clinical data were collected and analyzed.Results: The total of 18 patients from several hospitals were selected for the study, taking into account the specific criteria for addition. There are two categories of patients included, a single hypertension disease condition patients and dual disease condition patients, such as hypertension with either diabetes, hypothyroidism, dyslipidemia or asthma. Conclusion: Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide together make up 56% of the total medications mentioned. Amlodipine comes in at 11%. Telmisartan alone accounts for 22%, and metoprolol tartarate makes up the remaining 11%. Telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide is the highly suggested drug for the treatment of hypertension.
