Changing demographic structure and longevity are challenges to which the higher education system responds with new approaches to study (teaching and learning), research, innovation and social engagement. The article describes the development of the age-friendly university, a movement that follows the principle of the global age-friendly university movement and offers strategies that higher education organizations and universities can use to develop programs that are inclusive.
