- Abstract
The article surveys the impact of Tahoe-Sierra Preservation Council Inc. v. Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, wherein U.S. Justice John Paul Stevens treated partial, temporal regulatory takings the same as partial, spatial takings, on regulatory takings doctrine. Topics discussed are just compensation for public use of private property under the Fifth Amendment, distinction between acquisitions and regulatory takings, and legislative land use controls versus taking without just compensation.
