- Abstract
This article presents information about the report "Public Health in New York State." This report was presented by the New York State Health Commission to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the governor of New York State. The health commission was appointed by Roosevelt to study the administrative and legislative aspects of public health in New York State. The report focuses on the character of local health organizations from the standpoint of form of organization, service, and personnel. It discusses the major responsibilities of the state in matters of health. It contains chapters on control of tuberculosis, social hygiene, maternal and infant hygiene, and public health education.
