- Abstract
The article reports that inhibition of Postprandial Hyperglycemia reduces gene expression related to inflammation in Peripheral Leukocytes of Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima fatty (OLETF) rats. Topics discussed include dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor reduces oral sucrose load-inducible expression of interleukin (IL)-1β, hyperglycemia reduces development of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD) and analysis of genes by quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain reaction (RT-PCR).
