- Abstract
The article focuses on the rule of a judge regarding the admissibility of expert evidence concerning a footwear impressions. It says that the flagrant breach Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) indicates the inadmissibility of the footwear comparison. Moreover, the difficulty of considering that the opinion of an expert can assist a judge in the absence of evidence by finding the shoe size and pattern is also presented.
