- Abstract
The performance improvement field continues to change human performance in the workplace via experience and research. These changes have led professionals and researchers to focus on their environment, which influences our practices and lifestyles. In addition, performance improvement (PI) is affected through the impact the profession makes through performance improvement practice (Kaufman, 2006, 2011). Many fields such as health care, manufacturing, and engineering have benefited from advances in new technology and process improvements so it is not clear how much PI has contributed, and it is not clear how much performance improvement has expanded. Therefore, this study helps to clarify how much the performance improvement field has developed and expanded.
