- Abstract
The article focuses on the history of extension cords and connectors and offers suggestions on using them safely in the theatre. Topics discussed include development of standard related to specific voltage and current of non-interchangeable configuration by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) in 1970, need of verifying voltage, electric current from the marking on equipment and need of calculating connected load and checking availability of extension cords.
